After having my kids, I felt down and lost in a way. I wasn’t sure how I was going to be able to lose the weight whilst looking after two kids and working. Getting to the gym 5 times a week wasn’t an option, so I felt defeated and felt like this was how I was going to look from now on. I felt like I gave myself the excuse that I had had kids which is why I was bigger than I wanted to be.

After having my two kids and getting back on stage, I lost confidence in myself and my abilities. I had low energy and didn’t feel like the real me. It felt as though people who were watching my sing were looking at my weight gain and not who I was as a singer and performer. I knew I had to make a change, something that was just for me. After making my first appointment with Jenny I was quietly excited, yet skeptical too.

Simply put Jenny Craig changed my life, it fit so perfectly into my life. I actually didn’t even feel like I was on a weight loss plan, I was eating more than I had before. It was so easy too, all I had to do was follow the menu and the weight came off. Seeing my Consultant Nita was a highlight of my week, as I was so excited that by just following the menu it was changing my life. It also felt like something I could put into practice in real life.

My Consultant, Nita, was an inspiration, she would talk to me about nutrition, different options, and also make a plan if I had a special occasion. It didn’t feel as if I couldn’t be involved in birthdays and special events.

I feel happy and confident, I have so much energy both for the stage and for my two boys! I can go into a shop and know what size I can fit into, and not be embarrassed to ask for that size. I feel proud of my achievements and that for once I put myself first, which in turn has made me a better wife. I guess it’s also meant that I realize my worth – that I too deserve to look after myself.
